Bio | I am a knowledge enthusiast. For the last 8 years or more, I have been working as a private tutor, supporting all levels of students and from diverse backgrounds in a rang of settings. I have supported students online, at school, in the library, at their homes and in the community. As a freelance journalist for The Guardian and other reputable papers, I specialise in English language, literature and media studies. Also as my first degree was a combination of humanities based disciplines and the social sciences, I specialise in teaching Sociology, Psychology and Anthropology, History and Geography. Charismatic and confident, I am able to teach in an engaging manner and have produced good results with the students I have supported. I believe that no two lessons should be the same, so I strive to make my lessons interesting and creative. I use a combination of teaching methods such as video tutorials, games, quizzes and so on.I currently support vulnerable women who have experienced the following : substance misuse, homelessness, unemployment and domestic abuse. I enjoy helping others and guiding them towards bigger and better things in life. |
