Bio | I have just retired from my post as Assistant Professor at Northumbria University. For the past 23 years I have taught sociology, social policy and social work at Salford University and the Open University as well as at Massey university in New Zealand and University College Dublin (ROI). I have taught sociology and social politics to students at undergraduate and postgraduate level and supervised 10 PhD students to completion. In addition I have a PGCE in higher education and I'm a fellow of the higher education Academy. For the past 15 years I have taught A- level history and sociology students privately, on a one-to-one basis both online and face-to-face and I'm currently an examiner for the AQA exam board. I have extensive experience in the design and delivery of online learning enhanced by delivering sociology social policy and social work programmes during the COVID pandemic. I specialise in A-Level exam revision techniques and have extensive expertise in online tutorial using Teams, Zoom, Blackboard Ultra and WhatsAp |
