| Bio | I am a highly experienced English/ESOL teacher with a wealth of experience in academia spanning essay writing, academic English, general English & business English/IELTS. My career to date has seen me teach online, private 1-to-1 classes and in a variety of classroom settings. I am currently working with the British Council teaching foreign students general English online.My teaching style is highly student-centric; I demand a lot from my learners as I push them to achieve their language learning goals. My personable style enables students to relax and focus on their classes to yield maximum benefit. As my lessons are often very student-led, learners frequently comment that they enjoy the learning experience with me. My ‘ask and don’t tell’ pedagogical ethos means learners are constantly involved and engaged in the lesson. This is a critical element needed to be a successful online teacher. |
