Students
Students may use the 7-step process or the tutor finder to research tutors according to their needs. The 7-step process allows more nuanced research by focusing on key details, while the tutor finder provides a quick search for students in a rush.
Students can select a FREE 15-minute meeting to get to know prospective tutors before committing to long-term lessons, or book 60-minute classes immediately.
Lessons and chats can be accessed from the profile link on the top right of the page. SEAL also provides FREE materials and content-checking quizzes to support academic and pastoral growth.

Parents
A parent’s role is to guide and support the student’s growth alongside tutor feedback. Parents are responsible for making sure students attend lessons on time and complete any required homework.
Parents can also book lessons and meetings directly through the 7-step process, the tutor finder, or by contacting the SEAL team on WhatsApp at +44 7376 602419.
Lessons should be paid for on time so they are not delayed. Parents or students can reschedule any time before the lesson is due, but punctual communication is important for reschedules or cancellations.

Tutors
Only 1/8 of tutors who apply to work with SEAL have their applications approved. The vetting and application process is rigorous because SEAL only hires dedicated and capable tutors.
Prospective tutors can apply through the registration process. Once completed fully, the team reviews the application and successful tutors hear back within 7–10 days regarding next steps.
All lessons and communications can be found in the profile dashboard. Tutors must attend lessons on time, preferably 5 minutes before the lesson starts. Tutors may charge as they wish and are paid monthly.

All lessons and meetings are conducted on the Seal Tutors whiteboard and video chat platform. Messaging between teachers and students also takes place through the built-in messaging service to support smooth and safe communication between tutors and parents/students.
